Jordan Hess, 2019
Sold Out
Description:
Violin made by Jordan Hess of Salt Lake City, UT in 2019. It’s his 99th violin, made on a personal model especially for The Fiddle Mercantile and we are very pleased to offer this instrument!
Jordan Hess comes from a small farm in Indiana, where he started making instruments at age 9, and by 15 was working as an apprentice at Indianapolis Violins. After studying at the Violin Making School of America, Hess worked for John Young in Salt Lake City. He now makes his own violin models, based on molds used by makers such as Stradivari, Amati, and Guarneri ‘Del Gesu’. He is very promising new maker, who has a real ability to see what the old masters were doing in a different light.
