Refund policy
We have a 7-day return policy on accessories and a 30-day return policy on instruments and bows, which means you have the respective number of days after receiving your item(s) to request a return for a full refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at brandon@thefiddlemercantile.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Trade-In Policy
The Fiddle Mercantile will grant trade-in credit for instruments or bows that were previously purchased from The Fiddle Mercantile by the original purchaser. The item specific trade-in credit structure is as follows:
- 100% for instruments and wood bows
- 60% for non-wood bows
- Trade-in credit will be granted on the original purchase price, minus any necessary repairs or refurbishment costs.
Trade-in credit may be used as follows:
- Trade-in credit can be applied to a maximum of 70% of the pre-tax total of your next purchase.
- Trade-in credit can only be applied to non-consignment instruments or bows in The Fiddle Mercantile's inventory.
- Trade-in credit cannot be used to pay for accessories or services rendered.
- Excess trade-in credit cannot be left on account or transferred to another customer.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
No open, used or modified accessories may be returned. There will be no refunds for services rendered, unless negotiated otherwise with the shop owner. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be refunded on your original payment method within 30 days.
