Labeled "Nach Antonio Stradivaris gefertigt, von J. Altrichter, Hof-Instr.- Fabrik, Frankfurt 1896".

Julius Altrichter (1868-1935) worked at the large Frankfort-on-Oder factory, which made violas, cellos, and double-basses along with brass instruments. He made mostly made Italian model violins, and modeled his bows after Bausch, Tourte, and Vuillaume.
