Welcome to the The Fiddle Mercantile! When I started the process of creating this site, it seemed like a mountainous task. There are so many varied approaches to showcasing instruments and bows, and trying to convey the feel of an entire business through a website. Focusing my vision has been a journey, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to present all the things I’ve been working on. I hope you find this website to be an accessible and honest representation of what The Fiddle Mercantile is, what it means to me, and to the string community.
Allow me to highlight some features:
- Instrument Profiles
- Profiles of each instrument or bow include information on the maker, measurements, and photos. Some instruments also include video clips in attempt to showcase their sound. You will also find a link to request a home trial of the instrument and bow.
- “Fresh Fiddles”
- This collection will feature instruments that are new to my inventory. Check back often, as there will always be some new faces to see.
- “To The Trade”
- Since starting my business in 2016, I have been very active in the wholesale trade of instruments and bows. In this collection, I will feature instruments and bows that I’m offering at wholesale prices to other professionals in the trade. In order to purchase wholesale products, you must request and complete a “Dealer Form”.
- Blog
- The Fiddle Mercantile’s blog will keep you informed about the latest news, events and blatant fiddle geekery happening at the shop. I will also be sharing articles, videos and recordings from various contributors related to the string community.
- Community
- This is a space for you to connect with the teachers, camps, makers, and organizations that make the fiddle and string community such a special thing.
